Bio

Paul’s career has taken him through a wide range of roles. He started in the Royal Air Force as a Communications Systems Analyst before joining Cheshire Constabulary, where he became a Detective Constable. He later progressed into more senior investigation and operational roles, which helped him develop strong skills in communication, leadership, problem-solving and working with people from all backgrounds.

Paul’s interest in helping people learn and develop eventually led him into learning and development. Since then, he has created training, accreditation and development programmes for organisations including the Independent Office for Police Conduct, the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman, the Charity Commission and OCS Group UK.

Before joining Anchor, Paul managed learning for more than 2,000 colleagues across over 350 locations. This experience taught him how important it is to make learning practical, engaging and relevant to people’s everyday roles.

Paul joined Anchor Group Services in March 2026 as Learning and Engagement Manager. His role is to help colleagues build their skills, grow their confidence and develop their careers. He is passionate about creating a positive learning culture where everyone has the opportunity to progress and make a difference everyday.
