Joining us in 2024, Alan brings extensive commercial and operational leadership experience to his role as our Operations Director at Anchor Group Services. With a background spanning facilities management, hospitality, and major event services, Alan plays a vital role in delivering service excellence across a varied property portfolio. Known for his hands-on approach, he excels at leading teams involved in the delivery of large-scale mobilisations, integrating complex sites, and building trusted client relationships. Alan currently oversees key Anchor sites in retail, industrial, education, and corporate sectors, driving innovation in service delivery.

Credentials

  • 23+ years in senior commercial and operational leadership roles with FTSE 100, FTSE 250 and private organisations. Including Whitbread Plc, intu Shopping Centres and Moto Hospitality Ltd.
  • BA (Hons) in Business Enterprise and Distribution Studies
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Multi Site Leadership and Strategy

  • Led multiple cross-sector large-scale site mobilisations
  • Managed operations across public and private sectors
  • Known for reliable stakeholder engagement in complex, multi-use environments
  • Zone-Ex delivery of the Traffic and Event Services at multiple major events including the 2022 Commonwealth Games and many of the UKs largest sporting venues.

In his youth, Alan represented Northern Ireland in multiple international fell running competitions including World Championships in Austria and the Czech Republic. He still runs regularly, though now at a more leisurely pace
