Ian Pugh of Anchor Group Services has recently been appointed to the board of the Liverpool City Security Council.

  • The security companies involved will work together to support initiatives to improve the safety and security of the City of Liverpool. Examples of tactics to be deployed include but are not limited to:
  • Intelligence gathering and sharing
  • Weapons sweeps/searches in public spaces
  • High visibility days
  • Counter terrorism awareness days
  • Major Incident response testing and exercising
  • Retail crime targeting

“I’m delighted to have been asked to join the board of the Liverpool City Security Council. Throughout my 40-year career in security and after having begun my career as a security officer I have seen first-hand the outstanding work that security officers do on a daily basis and the important role they can play in working in partnership with our emergency services. I look forward to supporting other board members and key stakeholders across the Liverpool region.”
