The event, taking place on Sunday 4th June, is set to be The Bridgewater Canals’ biggest charity event to ever take place in its impressive 250-year history, with hundreds of walkers expected to participate. The five-mile walk will begin at Trafford Palazzo, continue along Bridgewater Way and end in Castlefield, Manchester. There will be entertainment, refreshments, and facilities along the route, as well as some great scenery!
The Christie Charity pioneers world-renowned research and is having a positive impact on those living with cancer, making it a brilliant cause to dust off your walking boots for. Funds raised through The Bridgewater Way Walk will support The Christie’s ‘Bloods Closer to Home’, a local phlebotomy service which aims to reduce the need for multiple hospital trips and patient travel time. This high-quality service is so much more convenient for the patient care experience and patient (and their families’) wellbeing in Cheshire and Greater Manchester.
The event is family friendly, accessible, and inclusive, and families, friends, and work colleagues are encouraged to join in to help such a great cause.
Working in lockstep with Peel L&P, it is a privilege to support the Bridgewater Way Walk for the Christie Charitable Fund.
